Immanuel Living Welcomes First Chief Operating Officer Carla Wilton
As a part of its strategy to build upon its continued growth and progress, Immanuel Living has appointed Carla Wilton to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Carla Wilton has held the position of Executive Director at Buffalo Hill Terrace for the past nine years, successfully assisting with leading the expansion of The Villas in 2018 and the additional of The Lodge assisted living memory support in 2017. Buffalo Hill Terrace was recently recognized in the Daily Inter Lake’s 2019 ‘Best of the Flathead’ poll, receiving first-place honors in the first year the retirement category was included.
Over her 30 year career in health care and senior living services, Wilton has worked in a variety of different roles, encompassing social work, hospital services, wellness programming and memory care support. Wilton is a licensed assisted living and long-term care administrator and currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Montana Health Care Association Board of Trustees.
“Carla has been an exceptional leader as our Executive Director at Buffalo Hill Terrace and with her new expanded role as our Chief Operating Officer, she will continue to enhance our services and ministry to older adults across the entire Immanuel Lutheran campus,” says Jason Cronk, CEO.
Wilton says she was originally attracted to Immanuel Living in part because of the company’s mission as a locally owned, grass-roots organization serving the older adults of the Flathead Valley, as well as its status as the only life plan community in northwestern Montana. Wilton is a stanch believer in operating senior living communities with a person-empowered approach to care amid a culture of hospitality.
“Mentoring young leaders in the senior living industry is one of the things I’m most passionate about,” says Wilton. “I’m blessed to work alongside some of the brightest in the business.”
